The Top Flight and its crew hit the ground running in preparation for the world’s biggest footballing event. With preparations and previews well on its way, we go group by group with less than a week left.

The excitement is real and the anticipation is agonising. Will Messi or Ronaldo, live up to the likes of Pele and Maradona? Will there be a new World Cup winner, or will Germany’s defence stand strong behind enemy lines, as they attempt to regain their glory.

All these intriguing moments yet to be witnessed, comes to our attention in a few winks, blinks, and clock ticks. Many international friendlies has taken place. Some teams look unconvincing and others showing promising form before the World Cup kicks off.

Russia 2018, one of the most important factors of them all – with most of the universe’s best playing in Europe on club level, will the conditions make it anybody’s cup? Or is the cold hold of Mother Russia going to be too different to Spain, Italy, and other climates – giving the host the upper hand in the elite tournament of 32 countries?

The TTFC (The Top Flight Crew) were ‘soccerless’ and needed to be constructive in the time where a second feels like a day, while we have no club action taking place. Besides the drama of the summer transfer window to look forward to, we have the World Cup, which inevitably makes the transfer window more dramatic.

Here we start with Group A of Russia 2018 and previews the hosts along with their three opponents. The World Cup Final, Russia 2018 previews is presented by The Top Flight, with hosts Orri Benatar and Esteban Bailey.
