Rumours of a possible Danny Rose transfer could force Pochettino into signing a replacement.

Serge Aurier: He was extremely inconsistent in his first season at the club, and this included a shocking hat trick of foul throws at Selhurst Park in February. But, he did show signs at certain stages, and I can’t see him leaving.

Likelihood rating: 7

Kieran Trippier: Kieran impressed last season after stepping out of the shadows of Kyle Walker. He is now set to be the first choice next season, after displacing Aurier.

Likelihood rating: 9

Danny Rose: His comments in pre-season about the club’s transfer policies really began his year badly. It never really improved for the defender. He struggled to regain his place in the team after a return from injury, and a move after the World Cup is now likely to happen.

Likelihood rating: 3

Ben Davies: The Welshman has been the biggest beneficiary of Rose’s misfortunes as he has made the left back role his own. Therefore, similarly to Trippier, Davies will be a Spurs player next season.

Likelihood rating: 9
