Germany, the engineered machine with eleven equal parts working together to make a flawless system. That’s what comes to mind when thinking about the World Cup holders, Germany.

Germany, like France, has a world-class squad of 23 men. A straight swap from their first eleven to the reserve, could still challenge for World Cup honours. The difference between the two, Germany has proven to always select the right man for the job.

The right man for the job, the important pieces that keep the team together, and then the rest of the pieces that paints the full picture of a unified weapon. Joachim Low is really a man and leader we can say has stuck it out with his country, through thick and thin. Which in return, the country has entrusted him to bring home gold.

After their World Cup glory – the world’s best struggled to repeat the same fortune and failed to take Euro 2016. It was Portugal who stole the show behind the mastery performances of Ronaldo.

Talking teams, they normally have a star player who stands out above the rest. Something Germany doesn’t really have. As mentioned previously, the team works together, making the team the best player. So when a Player’s left out of the squad, it doesn’t really come as a surprise.

Although in saying this, many have questioned the exclusion of English Premier League Young Player of the Year, Leroy Sane. Baffling to say the least. Unexpected? no doubt. The right choice? Not by a long shot.

Germany’s shocker not to include EPL Young Player of the Year Leroy Sane

To leave a player of Sane’s caliber out of the squad, one must have a lot of hair on his teeth. Somebody who shows such hairiness is Joachim Low. He will leave whoever out and most will back him. The inclusion of Klose was strange, but it was a stroke of brilliance in their winning tournament.

However, this is one I feel he got completely wrong. A Premier League winner, the Young Player of the Year by train lengths, and one of Pep’s main outlets with 14 goals and 17 assist, in the 47 appearances last season. This alone by the attacker would firmly place the World Cup title in the hands of Low and the Germans at the end of the tournament.

Next: The curious case of Raheem Sterling

The European side doesn’t specifically need one player to outshine others, but this young man could have made it smooth sailing to the finals of the World Cup Finals. Or, could have been a plan B in the final minutes in Hail Mary situation.

I would have him in my youth team, five-a-side team, World Cup starting eleven, my club starting eleven, even at my best friend’s wedding. Feel this was one of the worst exclusions from the World Cup. Both, Sane and Icardi missing is a tough one to digest.
