Chelsea: Blues business continues – Is Leon Bailey transfer a real thing
Like a piece of shrapnel from an exploded bomb, Leon Bailey appeared on the footballing scene. A fresh face. A refreshing face. A new kid on the block. I want this guy in the English Premier League with no time to spare.
Bayer Leverkusen were spoilt to some memorable moments for the season of 2017/18 because of this guy. A pacy wide man, with a prolific touch. Great with the ball at his feet, and a player who feeds the rest of the team around him, superbly.
The little man from Kingston, Jamaica man (in a Jamaican man’s accent) has seen a rapid rise to fame. His footballing ability has attracted the attention of top teams in Europe. However, it’s only Chelsea of the Premier League top dawgs, who are being heavily linked with the potent winger man.
At 20-years-old, Leon has already featured twice in the Bundesliga for Leverkusen. In his first show (eight appearances) – he didn’t really make that big of an impact in the Bayer side, who were doing well in their league run. However, after getting a taste Bailey took the whole pie in his follow-up season.
Last season’s second chance slalom saw him make 34 appearances, scored 12 times man, and assisted his teammates on six occasions man. Nothing short of awesome for the young man from Jamaica, man.
Chelsea’s season depends strongly on their transfer window
Chelsea are at the risk of either losing their star players, or their world-class manager, Antonio Conte, according to reports. Although, they could be losing both altogether. Chelsea’s search for a new boss has taken the limelight , followed by recent news, Roman Abramovich has halted the Bridge upgrades.
Turmoil over at Stamford Bridge sounds like an understatement at the moment, considering everything. If and once, Chelsea name a new manager – they will do business. Hazard is Mr Blue and will take a lot of convincing to get away from Stamford Bridge. However, Willian and Hazard have stalled on contract extensions and are yet to make a decision on their options on the table.
Next: Fulham ready to compete in The Top Flight
Pedro has been the super sub for most parts and is quite the age at 30. He will continue to be an off-the-bench, impact player. Therefore gives the Blues and their board all the more reason to pursue, Leon Bailey.
The blistering winger wont come cheap and has been tagged at around £70 million. This is the only factor warding off some of the competition for the player. Although in saying this – Bailey would be worth every penny.
A great transfer to watch.
