The 3-0 victory over Stoke and the 4-1 Victory against Huddersfield certainly rank highly as crucial performances against relegation rivals.

However, the 3-0 victory at home to Southampton was by far the Hammers’ best game, a season defining match that all but ensured their safety. It was an easy pick as the Hammers found it hard to be consistently good but experienced a steady run during a certain period.

The oft-beleaguered East Londoners produced a brilliant first half display including a Joao Mario ripper to save their top-flight status. Honourable mentions go to the narrow 2-1 loss to City and the 1-0 win over Chelsea for the team’s dogged effort and dedication.
