The best and most consistent player for Spurs this season has undoubtedly been Jan Vertonghen.

The Belgian defender not only has guided the younger Davinson Sanchez, but has stepped up in the absence of Toby Alderweireld. His efforts have also been valued by everyone else.

Not only was Vertonghen placed in the Premier League PFA team of the year, but also named Player of the Season for the club. This was decided by One Hotspur members and Supporters’ Club members.

The biggest disappointment of the season for Tottenham has been the Spanish striker Fernando Llorente. Despite netting 15 goals at Swansea last season to prove that he has what it takes in England, the striker has struggled this season when called upon.

Apart from a hat-trick against Rochdale in the FA Cup, he has failed to prove himself when given the opportunity to replace Kane. His form also proves that Spurs still haven’t solved the problem of finding a capable second striker.

Worst match of the season

The worst performance and result was the first North London derby of the season. Not only was the result poor, but the side played terribly all over the pitch.
