Spurs and Arsenal were joined by Man United in a trophyless campaign. How do you judge a team like this, when knowing a Champions League position is so vital?

Since manager Mauricio Pochettino joined Tottenham Hotspur for the 2014-15 season, the Argentinian has overseen a dramatic but gradual process that has transformed Spurs into a side challenging for trophies.

The rise has welcomed the transition from Europa League football under previous managers, to a club who now have qualified for the Champions League in three successive seasons.

The question is, was the 2017-2018 campaign a step backwards for Pochettino? Will the failure to once again win a trophy, with the last one being the 2008 League Cup, make the likes of Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen leave? Or has it been a great domestic season considering that the side have played home games at Wembley?

This is Tottenham’s Premier League roundup.
