The FA Cup brings us 90 minutes of joy after the English Premier League concluded almost a week ago. Chelsea and Manchester United brawl for the last honours left in what was one of the most competitive campaigns.

In a season where one club stole the show and another club is swimming upstream in the Champions League, the FA Cup becomes a last chance saloon for teams who need silverware to save their respective seasons. What can we expect from the second place finishers and Europa League qualifiers?

Chelsea has been dreadful to say the least in their follow-up campaign. While United has failed to meet requirements of a team spending almost the same amount of money as their neighbours. The difference? Their neighbours have accomplished what was set out for them and did it in style.

When weighing up the two and pondering on who needs it more, there is no winner unfortunately. Both these Premier League finalist can thank Wigan Athletic for doing them the favour of knocking Man City out the cup. If they’d be here now prepping for tomorrow’s showdown, it would be three trophies possibly and none for them.

Antonio and Jose are two very driven managers. It will come down to flawless performances today. Any faults in the system, could be costly. All I pray for, it’s not your usual Jose display and United pull out their infamous bus.
