With a few other options for worst Arsenal moment of the season, the overwhelming favorite would have to be their Europa League semi-final loss to Atletico Madrid.

Although Atleti is clearly a better side than the Gunners, the external initiative to give Wenger one final trophy and his first European trophy before departing the club had plenty of football fans wanting Arsenal to lift the trophy.

They failed to win the 1st leg of the semi-final despite being a man-up for nearly the full game, and their defensive frailties were once again exposed. In the 2nd leg, needing at least 1 goal to contest Atletico, Arsenal only managed to get 1 shot on target as they failed to advance to the final.

Although many could’ve seen the loss coming, it still left a bitter taste in the mouths of everyone associated with Arsenal.
