Burnley 1-2 Bournemouth

Two of the biggest surprises this season played on the last day. Sean Dyche and Burnley had low expectations entering the new season. They proved everyone wrong by finishing in seventh-place and putting themselves in the qualifying rounds of the Europa League.

Eddie Howe and Bournemouth had higher expectations with a squad full of talent and one of the most promising managers in world football. They came in 12th and ended with 44 points. Points 42, 43, and 44 came with a 2-1 win at Turf Moor. The winning goal came at the end of the game from Cherry legend, Callum Wilson.

Burnley and Bournemouth will both be back for 2018-19. Burnley will be facing a new challenge trying to juggle a Europa League schedule with an English schedule. Sean Dyche will be up to the task after one of the best seasons in Burnley history.

Eddie Howe will face the test of looking for improvements after an underwhelming campaign. The Cherries will look for some new players this summer as they look to put themselves back in the top-half in 2019.
