A battle fit for the occasion when Swansea City welcome Southampton for one of the few relegation matches taking place between now and the curtain call of the Premier League.

The anchor’s chain, firmly placed around the necks of the Swans dragging them down into serious depths. On the other end – have you ever heard of a Hail Merry in NFL? Well, Hughes and his Saints have certainly being saying theirs and trying their Hail Merry plays to fight the fight.

The visiting team unlucky not to be in a better position going into this fixture. This, after conceding a late goal in a game they looked sure to secure all three points. It took them 96 minutes of a football match to set us up for a more intense tie tonight.

The home side is on a run of poor, poor performances. From being the upset team of the Premier League to becoming the most likely to lose delivers enough evidence – the Swans could be one of the teams joining Stoke City in the Championship next season.

Winner really takes all tonight and that should be the message to all the players when Swansea City entertain Southampton at the Liberty stadium, later this evening in a big relegation match.
