The matches from this Saturday brought dramatic results. These results also mean we could be in for a crazy final day, even with the title clinched.

Matchday 36 kicked off at Anfield with Liverpool hosting Stoke City. The Reds are all in on the Champions League while also trying to ensure a top-four finish in the Premier League. Klopp went with most of his best guys like Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino, and Trent Alexander-Arnold in the starting eleven.

The new starters included Ragnar Klavan, Danny Ings, Joe Gomez, and Alberto Moreno. These four players gave Andrew Robertson, Dejan Lovren, James Milner, and Sadio Mane some rest in preparation for Wednesday’s match in Rome.

Stoke put their best foot forward and was able to earn the scoreless draw at Anfield. This extends Liverpool’s unbeaten run against Stoke at Anfield to 55 games in the top flight.

The main highlight of this match was this finish from Danny Ings in the 40th minute. It was ruled offside. If on, it would have been Ings’ second goal in as many games.

Stoke took advantage of a slightly weaker Liverpool team and earned their 12th draw this season. They sit just three points away from the drop zone and will play a huge home match against Crystal Palace next week.

For Liverpool, they extend their unbeaten run to nine games and will face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge next Sunday after their UCL match. It will be an emotional week for Mo Salah who will visit his former home grounds in back-to-back games.
