If you were to ever warrant this man another name or compare him to somebody, I’d say the best description for this man would be – Andrés Iniesta.

The biggest reason this man makes it ahead of his two teammates (who’ve probably seen a larger chunk of the season), is the fact he matched his brilliance in consecutive campaigns, all while going through major personal problems with his newborn child.

To play above something so heartsore and difficult, and to play at his level he delivered each time on the pitch, is something more than phenomenal. Conducting a well-organised team, while orchestrating an almost perfect game each time on the pitch, coupled with being able to move the crowd to the beat – is just a few attributes of the Spaniard’s game.

He has really done it all this season, winning professionally and personally in life. If the number one candidate never did so well this season, achieving and breaking records, Silva would definitely be my pick for PFA PotY. Like said earlier, if it all depended on him (which we saw wasn’t the case all of the time) then I think he should have been crowned the king.
