English Premier League: The shortlist for the PFA Player of the Year ranked
In third place is Kevin de Bruyne in the slot. This man could have easily taken first, second, or third – but you’ll hear my reasons why the other two have been selected ahead of the Belgian midfielder.
The big in Big Ben, the tick in Man City’s tock, the player who sits in the co-driver’s seat delegating instructions to the driver next to him in their rally car. This co-driver not only sits back and give instructions – but when called upon, takes the wheel and finishes the race for his team.
This player is none other than Chelsea disappointment, turned Man City’s king two-footed player, Kevin de Bruyne. When you ask de Bruyne what foot he kicks with, is he right footed or left footed? He’d simply reply, ‘I’m reft footed’! Reft footed? ‘Yes I kick with both, it’s simple, left and right!’

This is the talent he has turned out to be at Manchester City and has just kept improving under manager, Pep. However, his start to the season was breathtaking but slowly became invisible to the league and the others fighting for honours. Because of this, he makes the list at number three.
The problem for City, it’s always hard to outshine another world-class player/teammate. City was dependant on him but if he didn’t feature, teammates Silva or Sane, would pick up the pieces, and spur the team on. For this reason too – he makes it in third place.
His contribution of 20 assists in 47 games is the highest in the league as he becomes so good – this guy could create a corner in a circle.
