Another stadium getting an extreme makeover in a bid to keep up with its counterparts and fit in with the futuristic era is Tottenham’s, White Hart Lane.

Spurs has not exactly shown they’ve missed their cherished White Hart Lane while they laid down some great results this season against top clubs inside loanee venue, Wembley. Only their start to this year’s campaign gave the impression – home was where the heart lied.

Laying a high but discouraging third place, an expulsion from the Champions League in the Round of 16, and a FA Cup semifinal around the corner – White Hart Lane can’t be missed too much but what’s developing at the stadium is a step in a successful direction.

The recent developments of the stadium

A month ago Spurs redevelopment of White Hart Lane reached a decisive stage in its building phase. They were preparing to lift the state of the art roof – which then to the date, would take them a long and strenuous three weeks to complete.

As per reports – the space-age roof is said to be made up of a cable net structure, 287 glass sections and 810 cladded cassettes. Ones imagination runs wild building little pictures in one’s head, when thinking how beautiful the end product will be.

Since the date was set – things have moved along swiftly with construction. The cable structure is said to be up with most of the glass already being fitted – showing the progress is being made by the engineers and builders.

The main concern is accomplishing the final product before we kick off the 2018-2019 campaign. With this season already on Matchday 31, and well in the knockout phases of cup competition – time is running out.

How this helps clubs advancements on the pitch

An upgraded venue branches off into many positive vines. One important vine contributes to what is most important to any club and fan, improving the football on the pitch, making it a can’t miss experience to go and watch a Tottenham game.

An advance stadium, attracts better players and inevitably stops players from wanting to leave the club. Both of which Spurs have had trouble with in the past. Once you’ve started attracting players of certain class – the football levels up and pleases the other attribute, fans.

Happy fans equals, more fans! More space equals, more money, because of fitting more fans! More money equals, offering Toby Alderweireld a better salary. WIll he be gone? Who knows…

The capacity is said to increase to 61,500. Spurs, something they will not have a problem with – is filling up the stadium every match. The only way they’ve beaten Manchester City this season is with sold out crowds.

Along with their strong opposition, mostly notably one of the top-six clashes, delivered the biggest crowd in Wembley Stadium’s history, breaking Manchester United’s Old Trafford record.

This shows the fans are playing their part – waiting patiently for the seat inside their home improved. Must have been a long and testing season cooking up a storm in your neighbours kitchen, making them money.

These are all the positives Mauricio Pochettino has to look forward to when thinking – home is around the bend just a couple more kilometers – the Spurs are coming home.
