Huddersfield and Swansea City are the next two teams on the list. Not in the clear, but a lot more to be cheerful about as the teams most likely to stay up for another season.

What a difference a point makes. While West Ham are in crisis-mode, Huddersfield are heading the other way. With two wins in their last five games, the Terriers are setting themselves up for a good end-of-the-season run to safety.

The mood around the club is positive, and manager David Wagner appears to have the confidence of his players, after leading them to promotion from the Championship last season. They still have games to come against Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City, but on the whole, their fixture list is manageable.

Unless the wheels completely fall off their season, the Terriers should live to fight another season in the Premier League.

Swansea City

When Paul Clement was sacked as manager on December 20th, the Swans looked dead and buried. Carlos Carvalhal has revitalised the Welsh side, and they have soared up the table to 14th place.

Since the 5-0 hiding they suffered at the hands of Liverpool on Boxing Day, Swansea have played ten Premier League games, winning five and losing only two. This upsurge in form has brought confidence back to the club, with the defence a particular strong suit.

Alfie Mawson has had a fantastic season, leading to an England call-up, and he has become a centerpiece of the side, along with defensive partner Federico Fernandez. The Swans still need to finish the job, but their excellent form should see them over the line.
