West Ham: Hammers internal chaos reflects on the pitch

It is the main target of criticism. If anything, the situation the club’s in, is their fault.

They sold an idea to the fans that is simply not coming together at the moment. The ambition showed years ago is now a distant memory.

West Ham’s wage bill is one of the highest in the Premier League and considering that they don’t have any outstanding talent in their squad, it’s quite extraordinary. Just by simply having a long-term vision, the money spent on veterans could have been used better.

By wanting success in the short-term, the club is now in a situation that they shouldn’t be in. West Ham sit just three points above the relegation zone and it wouldn’t be surprising if they need to pull out a miracle to stay in the Premier League.

The bad administration generated the toxic atmosphere around the club. In Saturday’s defeat to Burnley, West Ham fans protested saying the owners destroyed the club. Fans are turning against each other, as reported by The Independent in a brilliant piece of journalism.
