Matchday 30 brings two thoughts to mind. The heartache is nearly over, but the Premier League is drawing closer to the end. I don’t know what’s a better way to look at it.

The first game sets the pace for the entire weekend once again with a fearsome battle between rivals, bitter not sweet, Manchester United and Liverpool at the Theatre of Dreams, Old Trafford.

Check out the full preview here, Manchester vs. Liverpool.

After the monumental fixture that’s so far disappointed four times before, the rest of the day is filled with must win matches, with no team safe enough to draw.

We’ve reached a stage in the campaign where its do or die, win or lose, make it or break it – with little to no room for error. Time to take flight with The Top Flight and preview the rest of the day.

Newcastle vs. Southampton

One places above the other and labels this match as one of the relegation battles. The Premier League’s 16th place team takes on 17th place.

A match emphasising on how much a draws not possible, but could be the likely outcome with them both being low-scoring teams. Rafa must be happy to be back home as St James Park after returning to his old home, Anfield.

Their recent form at home has seen them beat second place Man United, and gives them a lift when taking on the Saints. The visitors played a different track at St. Mary’s Stadium – they were unable to beat struggling Stoke City.

Both failed to score in their last outings, but only the Toons conceded two goals. Nevertheless, Rafa is a man that can return strong, and return strong at home he must.
