Kate Abdo is back on FOX. She will definitely hear about England’s performances from her colleagues throughout the tournament. More on the Three Lions later.
13. Cristiano Ronaldo against Spain
Spain and Portugal will meet for the third time in the 2010s in a major tournament. Spain has beaten Portugal in both those encounters. Cristiano Ronaldo and the Portuguese have a chance to get revenge in the Iberian Derby on June 15th.
14. David De Gea officially proving he is the best keeper in the world
David De Gea is the savior of Manchester United. He will be Spain’s savior in Russia this summer and prove he is better than any other goalie on the planet. Manuel Neuer is still amazing, but De Gea will take his mantle officially.
15. Iceland population facts
Let me be the 5,000th person to tell you that Iceland’s population is the same as Corpus Christi, Texas. By June, I will be the 15,000th person to tell you that again.

17. Talk of Lionel Messi being the GOAT if he wins the World Cup
Messi needs just that one trophy and this might be his last chance to get it. Argentina had a rough qualifying campaign to get to Russia. If Messi can score goals, he could become the greatest the game has ever seen.
18. N’Golo Kante and Paul Pogba playing together again
The best defensive midfielder in the world with the most expensive one in the world. Kante and Pogba can be a deadly combination for France. Les Blues should be considered a favorite.
19. Reading the Iranian names
Team Melli has some of the best names in world football. Striker Reza Ghoochannejhad and midfielder Ahmad Abdollahzadeh are the ones that pop out. Here is a link to more.
20. Seeing the Sochi Olympic Stadium with a soccer pitch
The Fisht Olympic Stadium in Sochi will make history on June 15th when it becomes just the second Winter Olympic venue to host a World Cup match. The only other one was Stadio Olimpico in Turin, Italy. The first game in Sochi is Portugal vs. Spain.
