Goalkeeper of the Year

Adrian – West Ham United

Daniel Bentley – Brentford

Thibaut Courtois – Chelsea

Heurelho Gomes – Watford

Hugo Lloris – Tottenham Hotspur

The nominees for the goalkeeper of the year are a who is who of London EPL goalkeepers. Daniel Bentley of Brentford sits as the lone non-Premier League goalie in this years list of nominees.

Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois and Spurs’ Hugo Lloris are the big standouts in this list. Courtois has kept 13 clean sheets this season to Lloris’ 12. These two men are big reasons why their clubs can compete in Europe and for EPL and FA Cup titles year in and year out.

To round out the list, Adrian of West Ham and Heurelho Gomes of Watford. Adrian has been able to keep his place as the top goalie for the Hammers as the descent of Joe Hart continues. Gomes is a vital piece in Watford’s puzzle to be a consistent, mid-table team in the EPL season after season.

Lloris could make it a memorable night at the London Football Awards if his manager, top striker, and a Spurs youngster can grab the other three awards of the evening. Spurs’ seven nominations are the most with Chelsea’s three nominations the second most out of all the London clubs.
