Young Player of the Year (Under-23)

Andreas Christensen – Chelsea

Ainsley Maitland-Niles – Arsenal

Davinson Sanchez – Tottenham Hotspur

Ryan Sessegnon – Fulham

Harry Winks – Tottenham Hotspur

Andreas Christensen, another Chelsea man, and yet again, another defender making the nominees list. He is definitely one of the best young players this season.

Hard to imagine this young man is only 23-years-old – considering the games he’s featured in.

Spurs two candidates’ cancel out Chelsea’s one, as previously in the Premier League Player of the Year category, outdone three to one. Harry Winks and Davinson Sanchez are the two White-Hart Wembley players. The former, a gem of the academy and the latter, a gem of a signing from Ajax.

The anomaly in this one is the only Gunners player on the list, and deservedly so, Ainsley Maitland-Niles. If Gunners were looking for some sort of positive to come from their miserable season, they have a very promising player in Maitland-Niles as that small positive.

The other player on the list, who should be occupying a left-back spot in one of the top-six sides, in the Premier League, is Ryan Sessegnon. A lot of rumors surrounding him and if we’ll see him the following campaign. Well deserved to be up for both, Young Player and EFL Player of the Year.
