Premier League Player of the Year

Cesar Azpilicueta – Chelsea

Christian Eriksen – Tottenham Hotspur

Harry Kane – Tottenham Hotspur

Heung Min-Son – Tottenham Hotspur

Wilfried Zaha – Crystal Palace

Oh, how the tides have turned when you witness a swarm of Tottenham players being nominated above the big names of rivals all around London. No surprise we have little, to almost no Arsenal players on the list of nominees. What catches the center of the eye, coming at no surprise, are the players’ names on the prestigious list.

Chelsea’s César Azpilicueta, the man who’s led the team during a tough and heartbreaking season. The Spaniard normally flies under the radar, taking the title of the most underrated defender.

Christian Eriksen, Harry Kane, and Heung-Min Son all deserve to be recognized on the list. The three have helped Spurs fight in one of the closest top-four fights in the Premier League’s history.

Next: FA Cup - Swansea City made right in Sheffield

Eriksen, the heartbeat of Spurs and at the start of every brilliant piece of play launched by the North London club. Then the two front men, Harry Kane and Son Heung-min – who’s been absolutely superb this campaign.

Kane’s 35 goals plus Son’s 13 combine for 48 total goals. These goals have proved to be pivotal to Tottenham’s fight in the EPL and cup runs.

Last on the list is Palace hero, Wilfried Zaha. A player whose surely turned around his form since playing for Manchester United. Summing him up in one line… If he fails, Crystal Palace and Roy Hodgson will drop.

That’s how important he’s been all 2017-2018 campaign.
