Bournemouth 2-2 Newcastle

Bournemouth’s struggles continued when Dwight Gayle opened the game with a back-heel early in the first half. Gayle was able to add a second for the Toon Army after a cross was missed by Asmir Begovic and tapped in by Gayle. This was Gayle’s first brace since December of 2016.

The Cherries came back and got the point with two goals in the last ten minutes. Adam Smith put Bournemouth back in the game in the 80th minute and Dan Gosling sealed the draw in the 89th minute.

Bournemouth’s comeback drops Newcastle to 15th, just two points above relegation. Eddie Howe’s side is back in the top half (10th place, 32 points).
