Manchester City is good at football. Like really, really, really, really good at it. Basel is not so good at football.

Basel was a no-show at St. Jakob Park. Manchester City owned the Swiss side with a 4-0 victory that even the worst football pundit could have predicted. It was an easy win but it was as dominant as it could have been.

Next: Man City demolish Basel 4-0

The worst performers were, Fabian Delph and Raheem Sterling. They weren’t able to keep possession or create too many chances for City like the other players were. Luckily for Guardiola, he has a deep bench that can win him this competition.

Man City will crush Basel in the home leg and then get their first true test in the quarterfinals. Unless they play Shakhtar again.

Leg 2 – March 7th – 2:45 pm EST – Etihad Stadium
