English Premier League: Swansea City entertain Wenger’s Arsenal
The English Premier League, Matchday 25 is upon us giving us midweek entertainment. After a full weekend of FA Cup action, we return to action with Arsenal, travelling to Swansea City.
Whenever a team acquires a new manager, they get this second wind and pull off results nearly impossible. Swansea already stopped the run of Liverpool – will they be able to pull off another blinder against, Arsenal.
It will be a harder ask this time for the home side – because of Arsenal’s recent transfer business. They’ve added players in attacking areas, making them a lot more lethal in front of goal.
Swansea City’s last five Premier League fixtures:
P | Home | VS | Away | Result |
1st | Swansea City | 1-0 | Liverpool | W |
2nd | Newcastle | 1-1 | Swansea City | D |
3rd | Swansea City | 0-2 | Tottenham | L |
4th | Watford | 1-2 | Swansea City | W |
5th | Liverpool | 5-0 | Swansea City | L |
Swansea City, need to take advantage of the fact – they playing inside the Liberty Stadium. If there was one place to start getting better results – home is exactly the place to start.
Over the weekend – when they setup so well against Liverpool, you could see a better organized side under successor, Carlos Carvalhal.

The two meet after showing great form. Swansea City, in recent weeks showing a better run of games since being totally depleted by bad results.
Their win against another top-six club, should be the uplighting factor and the reason they shouldn’t be bullied in their own backyard. Scoring first will be important, and should be the only thing from the kickoff whistle.
That, plus locking up shop and showing the same organised defence – as they did in previous weeks.

Arsenal on the other end – needs to know not to go into the stadium overconfident. With their new signing, they could also be able to pick the lock much easier. He [Mkhitaryan], has the ability to do it and should be on display in an Arsenal shirt for the first time.
They need only to use all their attributes correctly, and they will walk away with three points. The reverse fixture saw the Gunners win the game two goals to one.

Swansea City 1-2 Arsenal
