English Premier League: Huddersfield welcomes out of form Liverpool

Just when you thought all the bad omens were out of Liverpool, and they finally figured out a way to breakdown clubs who sit back. They go down two games back-to-back, in all competitions. What exactly has Klopp got up his sleeve to try and break the voodoo on his team?

Another tricky fixture for the Reds, whose side looked nowhere near the team who scored, 54 goals for the season. Wagner needs to take a page out of Carlos Carvalhal book – and try to apply the same fortune on his best mate, Klopp.

It will not be easy for the Terriers – as they’ve not won a single game in their last six fixtures. It will be hard to stop this Liverpool team if they don’t set up tightly enough. The Reds will be looking to bounce back from a horrid two weeks.

Unfortunately for Huddersfield – they the first to test the waters, and see if the Anfield outfit has made up for dropped points. An upside and a significant advantage to the home – there will be no Virgil van Dijk.

As you can see; it’s been quite difficult for The Terriers to gain points, or at least claim one victory. They’ve conceded in all but one encounter – displaying the defensive problems they’ve had themselves.

14 goals let by in the last 5 clashes for Huddersfield, and 2 points collection home and away – this stipulates the difference between teams with bigger squads, verses teams with small squads.

They need points and a draw will be accepted by Wagner – the three points, if it’s there, he will take it.

Liverpool’s luck has changed after making a statement against Pep’s men, Man City a fortnight ago. They need to wake up from a slump they’ve afforded themselves leading up to this match.

Six goals in five games is not bad considering that’s just over a goal a game. However, it’s the fact the Reds have only managed one clean sheet in their last five as well – has to be worrying for the manager.

One loss, and four wins, equalling to twelve points – doesn’t sound too bad. But when looking at the opposition, and the new £75 million man – the goals conceded tally, should be less.

Liverpool will be resting a good few players in this one with Spurs a few days away. Maybe we’ll see a difference in dynamics by the manager.

Tough one to call considering the away side fails against these type of teams. In the same breath – Huddersfield, has not been the same team, who started like a Terrier out the cage.
