Morata might just have proven why José Mourinho and Manchester United wanted him in the summer with a very big goal at Stamford Bridge.

The Spaniard turned up for the big occasion and was rewarded with a fine performance. That emphatic header made sure Chelsea went into the international break just a point off United with Morata having scored 8 goals this campaign.

During the contest, he had more chances to increase his club’s tally but time and time again, he couldn’t sort his feet out. Even with this, he still enjoyed a good evening and that goal he scored is only testament to the bags of ability he has.

Mourinho might be ruing not getting the former Madrid and Juventus man with his own number 9 not having the same impact on the day, but Antonio Conte will surely be content with the impact Morata had on the contest.
