The Egyptian has continued his meteoric rise at Liverpool, and at the Olympic Stadium, he didn’t fail to deliver a scintillating performance once more. Two goals in the contest ensured the away side left London with three points

The first goal was as a result of brilliant work from Sadio Mané who laid it on a plate for Salah after a botched Manuel Lanzini corner at the other end of the pitch, turned into a counter attack for the Reds. The two speedsters only needed 13 seconds to round off a brilliant attack.

For his second goal, Salah also relied on Mané for the final pass. The Senegalese found him on the left of the box and all he had to do was steady himself before driving the ball past Joe Hart. The ferocity of that strike could be likened to the force of the hammer that eventually sealed Slaven Bilic’s fate.

The speedy winger now has 12 goals in 15 games and Liverpool fans will expect that he continues to be in this rich vein of form all season.
