When Ronald Koeman allowed Romelu Lukaku to leave for a massive fee to Manchester United and embarked on a spending spree of £150m, Everton fans expected the team to go on something similar to Chairman Mao’s Great Leap Forward safe to say just like Mao’s Great Leap Forward, it’s looking more like the Great Leap Backwards with Koeman failing to address the massive void that Romelu Lukaku left and Everton after 7 games still don’t have a clear identity and style of play. Koeman having to rely on Oumar Niasse really shows how bad things are at Goodison Park.
