Liverpool stand alone as they were unable to take the game to their opponents. Affording such a start to a knockout competition will get you one thing, knocked out!

Currently in the rut they in, the Reds stand no chance of making it pass the group stages. They are way behind any of the other Premier League teams and makes it hard to see them go far in their European journey.

There is no way in the football world, a team like Liverpool would be able to take on a team like PSG or Real Madrid. If they do, the way things are looking, a Man City five zero scoreboard in the league campaign, won’t be the last you’ll see the Merseyside outfit get.

However, one cannot count out the most successful English team in Europe’s most elite club competition. It’s simply not that easy to call anything in football.

Football together with this competition is one very unpredictable game. It would be foolish to count any of these teams out. Who knows, the Reds could hit red-hot form when the time is right.
