After almost a full two-week break, the Premier League kicks off with some fantastic fixtures this weekend but first, we recap on what’s happened before the international break took place.

Man United maintained their perfect start to the 2017 campaign. They put away Leicester City for an easy 2-0 victory at the Theatre of Dreams.

The only team of the two Manchester sides who struggled to get all three points were Pep’s blue boys. Sterling was their hero and scoundrel all-in-one goal.

The best fixtures of week 3 have to be Liverpool’s thumping over rivals Arsenal and Everton’s no show to Chelsea’s 2-0 beating. Everton were still arriving to the game late on after the event was over.

Burnley did as well as the others to be able to hold Spurs to a 1-1 draw. Something Burnley has become accustom to doing, stealing points.  A not so usual occurrence was the amount of score lines that all ended with odds even.

Two games saw goalless draws, where the other two saw a goal a piece. Not to say it wasn’t action packed, but more no team could edge the other.

Huddersfield, West Brom, Watford and Southampton, all continue their unbeaten run while sitting high up the table in the early stages of the league campaign.

Crystal Palace suffered yet another defeat whereas, Newcastle finally broke their duck in a West Ham hammering of 3-0. Palace, West Ham, Bournemouth and Arsenal were sad failures in their respected fixtures and were probably the only teams to welcome the international break.

Teams needing serious change in their approach to their next encounters are; West Ham, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth. All have failed in their first three games to accumulate any points.

Hopefully for them they can turn things in their favour, move up the table and get out of the relegation zone.  Sometimes things like a break can help a suffering team.
