Philippe Coutinho is set to miss Liverpool’s Premier League opener against Watford and is a major doubt for the season to come.

As LFC fans prepare for the worst and hope for the best to come from this poor transfer window they’ve been having. Coutinho remains a doubt for their opening fixture tomorrow and for the rest of the season.

The player has not only been in the transfer news linked to Barcelona for the entire transfer window, but he has also suffered from a back injury prior to their kick-off to the league campaign.

Liverpool FC released a statement earlier today maintaining their stance over the Brazilian, but have since been hit with harsh news of Coutinho handing in a transfer request.

With news continuing to surround Liverpool’s blue eyed boy, it’s a major concern for many when reports surface of him not pitching for training.

The transfer mill has been filled with Barcelona and their replacement targets for Neymar since he left the club. It’s been a tiring and threatening transfer saga in the past two weeks or so.

BVB’s Dembele, missing and going AWOL and Coutinho letting LFC know he wants to join the Spanish giants. Now as news stands, Liverpool will be without their player, back injury or not.

This concern of Klopp missing a deadly man in his starting line-up is worrying. Who will take on the roll Coutinho has been flourishing in?
