Andre Gray ends off a deal to Watford for a club record fee of £18.5 million. Burnley suffers a big loss in the sale of their star striker!

With only few days left before Watford kickoff their league campaign against Liverpool. Andre Gray comes in at the perfect time.

An unexpected transfer after having such a big first season in the EPL for Burnley last term. Gathering the idea he would stay at Burnley for a while before departing.

The striker however, has other plans and appears his ambitions are to help Watford reach new feet. Watford also worried about the loss of their own players, wrapped this deal up fast.

Burnley was without a doubt, the upset team last season. Where Andre led the line in their quest for Premier League success.

For a team with less quality than most teams in the Premier League, they did better than others who were expected to finish above the relegation zone. Part of this was due to the decent goal scoring record Gray accumulated last season.

Burnley would have loved to push on from last season’s showing and try to build on what they deemed, a great season. This strategy now depends on whomever Sean Dyche signs before the window closes.

Things moved along swiftly after Gray refused a new contract extension, which proves Burnley were trying their best to keep onto the player. Making them quite unhappy to see the departure of such a huge talent, leave them for Watford.

Watford doing good business:

Watford has brought in a great striker to join up with their not too bad strike force. He will undoubtedly add needed goals and depth.

What’s even better for Watford? Going up against Liverpool. A side well aware of the clinical finishing, Andre possesses. Gray was the player to put two past the Merseyside outfit in their first meeting of last campaign.

This means the Hornets have a pretty good trick up their sleeve in Andre Gray. Taking on Liverpool at Vicarage Road is the best welcome for the finisher.

With days to spare before they lock horns for the first game of Saturday, the striker has time to work a bit with the rest of the team.

To add to the reasoning of why the arrival of Gray couldn’t be any better, is the continues rumours on Watford striker, Troy Deeney.
