Manchester United vs. Bournemouth

Manchester United will be buoyant heading into their game with Bournemouth after picking up the EFL Cup last weekend. The Cherries, on the other hand, will be the complete opposite after a run of four league defeats and no win in seven games now.

Bournemouth have scored a decent number of goals this year, but they’re just letting in far too many at the other end. It’s 10 goals conceded in the last three games now for Eddie Howe’s team. Confidence must be through the floor and a trip to Old Trafford is unlikely to improve matters.

United may not be overly impressing in performances, but the wins keep on coming. Jose Mourinho’s team were already flying, and now on the back of the EFL Cup win, the momentum of these two teams couldn’t be much more of a contrast.

Bournemouth need to defend deep at Old Trafford and shut up shop, but that’s not really their style. The away side will be fairly open and it’s difficult to imagine United not scoring a few goals here.

Zlatan Ibrahimovich is on fire at present and the Swede will fancy his chances of boosting his goal tally this weekend. Bournemouth will be game overall, but the Cherries are low on confidence right now and United are exactly the opposite.

Prediction: Man United 3-0 Bournemouth
