Striker and final lineup

Harry Kane has been Tottenham’s go-to goalscorer in the last two seasons, but this season has been a bit of a false start for the striker. First Kane was struggling to score goals, and then he picked up an ankle injury that saw him spend some time on the sidelines.

Kane is just now approaching full health, but is unfortunately not fully fit for the derby on Sunday. Which means Alexis Sanchez is the only realistic choice as the striker in this XI. Sanchez has been converted into a striker this season by Arsene Wenger.

Despite the move being met with scepticism at first, nobody is really questioning it now. The Chilean has scored six goals in the Premier League and has three assists to his name also.

Sanchez has transitioned quickly to a new position, and given his current form, he might be playing as a striker for a good while yet.

So, that concludes the XI. Here is the final lineup:

As recent form would suggest, Arsenal outnumbered their rivals quite handily in the end. Arsenal had nine players in the lineup compared to Tottenham’s two. The Gunners have been firing on all cylinders lately, though.

Spurs need to be step up a level compared to recent showings if they are to have any chance at the Emirates Stadium, as this one-sided XI suggests.

But will the game be so one-sided come Sunday?
