Chelsea welcome Manchester United to Stamford Bridge on Sunday. Before the pair meet, take a look at our combined XI from the available players for each team.

Jose Mourinho returns to Chelsea this weekend for the first time since his second stint with the club ended. Mourinho will bring his Manchester United team to Stamford Bridge, with both clubs currently in precarious positions.

Both teams are currently building a mini-revival, of sorts. after unconvincing starts to the season. Antonio Conte has switched formations at Chelsea to good effect lately. The Italian was left with an ageing squad by Mourinho and is yet to fully solve his Chelsea puzzle.

Meanwhile, at United, Mourinho is still trying to find the best way to get the best out of his array of talented players. Paul Pogba is the chief concern among them, although Wayne Rooney continues to struggle and also Henrikh Mkhitaryan remains in the shadows.

United have drawn their last two games, and will be hoping to, at the very least, avoid defeat for the third straight game. Chelsea have won their last two and will be eyeing a third win in succession.

It’s one of the biggest games of any Premier League season. The return of Mourinho just adds yet more intrigue and thickens the plot even further. However, naturally, the most intrigue will be surrounding our combined XI and who is in and who is out.

So let’s take a look.
