Hull City vs. Chelsea: Combined XI ahead of Premier League clash
Wingers
Now it’s a 4-3-3 formation instead, we need some wide players to play either side of the lone striker. Again, nobody is really tearing any trees up for Chelsea, so we might have to call upon Hull once again. Good job they’re here.
A few games back, however, Eden Hazard was being hailed as being back to his best once again under Antonio Conte. In the space of just a few games, though, he’s now back to his worst of last season.
Hazard can be lazy defensively and that’s something you have to try and account for. Something Conte apparently can’t do, so neither can we. Hazard takes his place on the left wing of this combined XI. The Belgian isn’t back to his best but on any given day he can win his team the game. We’ll take that chance.
On the opposite side, Willian should be an automatic pick. But the Brazilian has not been up to it so far this season. Which means Robert Snodgrass gets the right wing position. Snodgrass is a goal threat and has a good set piece delivery as well.
The Scotsman has three goals this season from six games and would be our team’s second highest goal scorer. Number one being the team’s main striker.
