Antonio Conte is set to sell five of his Chelsea stars in January after the club’s recent poor performances. But do these five deserve to be sold?

Antonio Conte is not a happy man at Chelsea right now. How could you be? The team haven’t really adapted to his methods as yet. Plus his squad is unbalanced and in need of a complete rebuild.

A 3-0 loss to Arsenal was humiliating last weekend. The loss highlighted just how much things need to change at Stamford Bridge. Conte may have thought he could get by for a year with his current squad, but the Premier League is a tough place to hide weaknesses.

Conte is now set to start ringing the changes as early as January, according to The Sun. The Italian has seen enough and is looking to axe five of his current Chelsea players once the transfer window opens.

The changes are necessary. They were last summer, never mind this coming January. It’s a difficult market to deal in, though, in the new year. Team’s don’t want to sell their best players in the middle of the season.

And if you want to sell, like Chelsea do, then you don’t get the money you should because you’re keen to sell and other clubs know that. Still, Conte needs to do something. The fact that he is looking to do business as soon as January is a good sign.

But is he axing the right five players?
