Slaven Bilic

A popular choice among fans, but not necessarily the FA, is West Ham boss Slaven Bilic. Bilic has everything required to take the reigns as England boss.

He isn’t English, but what does that matter? Will that make him not try as hard? Unlike Fabio Capello in recent memory, Bilic understands the British culture and more importantly, English soccer.

Bilic is an excellent man-manager and can pencil whip opponents with his tactics. At only 47-years-old, he has plenty of experience and wouldn’t be scared of the job. Bilic spent seven years as manager of the Croatia national team, and has also been in charge of Besiktas and West Ham.

Hammers fans might not like it, but Bilic would be the perfect candidate for England. He’s got character, charisma and has become adored by English fans after his appearances as a pundit on ITV’s coverage of Euro 2016.

Appointing Bilic would give the entire country a lift. The England national team would be freed from the shackles of mediocrity that has plagued the managerial position for far too long.

More than anything, Bilic would inspire hope. Hope that a talented squad might finally be led by a coach who can lead take to success.
