One is out of a job, the other is leaving his job in the summer, but where will Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho move to next?

Both managers have a high reputation and many clubs in England would be delighted to have either of them leading them from the sidelines.

But which club are they most likely to move to? Will it even be in England as many people suspect?

Jose Mourinho

Starting with Mourinho, who was forced out of his job at Chelsea after seeing the club fall to just 1 point above the relegation zone, rumours and reports are circulating about the Portuguese manager staying in England with Manchester United his most likely destination.

The Times even reports that the Red Devils have had talks to gauge how interested Mourinho would be about taking the job, with current manager Louis Van Gaal coming under fire for some poor performances in recent weeks.

It has been well-documented that Mourinho has had interest in the United job since his last stint in England, with many fans believing him to be the logical successor for Sir Alex Ferguson before David Moyes was chosen.

The Daily Star goes on to report that a source close to Mourinho has suggested that the former Inter Milan and Real Madrid man would take a large pay cut to facilitate getting the job.

If Mourinho is to stay in England, it will no doubt be with the Red Devils. Though jobs from abroad could tempt him, with fans at his former club Real Madrid being unsure of Rafa Benitez’ long-term future.

A return to the Bernabeu could be tempting, but Mourinho’s heart seems set on waiting for the United job to become available.

Pep Guardiola

Guardiola recently announced his decision to leave German giants Bayern Munich, having had an exceptionally successful reign with the club.

The Germans wasted no time looking for his replacement, with Carlo Ancelotti reportedly agreeing to a three-year deal with the club once Guardiola steps down.

But now Guardiola’s future in Germany has been decided, many are starting to look at his potential landing spots.

The Premier League has become the favourite location for the Spaniard to move to, with a number of clubs being touted.

One club that could be a likely landing spot is Chelsea, who will be looking for a permanent manager to replace interim-coach Guus Hiddink.

Chelsea have an owner that is willing to splash the cash and would give Guardiola a free reign to bring in the high quality players that the Spaniard would want to help steer the club back to the top of the league.

With Guardiola having managed Barcelona and Bayern Munich, he would no doubt be able to lure a number of key former players to England and Roman Abramovich would welcome such a positive appointment.

Another potential destination could be Manchester City, who are already linked with attempting to bring Barcelona star Lionel Messi to the club.

Should Guardiola join the blue side of Manchester, it could give them leverage to persuade the Argentinian to make the move to England and lead the club to glory.

Guardiola has also been linked with Manchester United, but the club are reportedly more interested in taking on Mourinho.

Regardless of where the two managers move to, there will be much excitement and anticipation to see how they can bring fortune to their new clubs.

Mourinho will be determined to show that he is still a quality manager that can lead clubs to the very top, showing that Chelsea players truly gave up on their manager, while Guardiola will want to show that he can be successful wherever he moves to.
