Not many coaches have the bravery to field a team with an attacking game plan when playing against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and that too under Mourinho where in 99 home games, the Portuguese has only lost one.

It was granted that Chelsea would dominate the game in terms of attacking and possession which forces the team to back up and sit back. But, Swansea defended and balanced their play with a brilliant attacking display and they took the game to Chelsea whenever they had a chance.

Swansea’s fast paced attackers caused huge problems for the Chelsea defense and they were properly rewarded for their hard work with two goals and a well deserved tie.

It was a huge contrast from last season where Chelsea ran riot against Swansea not only winning both the legs but demolished the Welsh side by scoring 5 goals against them in the second half of the season.

Garry Monk is making good progress.
