3. Giroud must start every game for Arsenal

The Arsenal number 9 came on in the second half of the game and made an instant impact getting close to scoring on some occasions.

With Giroud, Arsenal have a target inside the box to whom they can whip in the crosses and the long balls on which the Frenchman thrives. Also, he is an intelligent player who can create spaces for himself even in a crowded penalty box and with his good balance of strength and agility he is a menace to defenders.

Arsenal are a good passing team where they rely on their short and intrinsic passing philosophy to unlock tough defenses. But if that philosophy doesn’t work then with Giroud they have a plan B where they can put the ball overhead and wait for a foot or the head of the Frenchman to finish the business.

In the limited time he got on the pitch, Giroud came close to scoring and also displayed his sense of awareness where he evaded the Chelsea defenders to hit the ball towards a nervous Courtoise. During the season Giroud should be the first name on the team sheet as he gives the whole team another dynamic and allows them to adopt a different methodology.
