Arsene Wenger’s pre season couldn’t have been better. With two trophies already in the bag, the icing on top of the cake came with a win over his rival Jose Mourinho and his Chelsea team with a marginal one nil win in the Community Shield.

Alex Oxlade Chamberlain scored the only goal of the game with a wonder strike as he put the ball past the outstretched arm of Courtoise in to the corner of the net.

The game was gritty and intense which was sort of a trailer of a long movie which will be starting from next week. Chelsea had less time to prepare for the game but that in any way doesn’t suffice as an excuse for their loss.

Arsenal looked threatening on the counter as well as during their attacking play which caused the Chelsea defense many problems. The Chelsea defense led by Terry is one of the best defenses in the league but a slick passing Arsenal team made them look quite mediocre at times which only calls for an urgent injection of pace and youth in the Blues rearguard.
