French World Cup Winner and 3 time Ballon D’Or winner and current UEFA President is seen to be the front runner in the race for FIFA Presidential Position.

He is responsible for administering the 1998 World Cup in France and also governing the European Football Division from 2007. As per reports, he decided not to contest the elections this year but did not rule out an attempt in 2019.

It was due to Platini’s request due to the ongoing investigations, that Blatter stepped down from the Presidential position where Platini also guaranteed that a majority of the European associates would back Prince Ali.

He still hasn’t announced his intentions for contesting the elections but it is highly likely that he will be contesting and if he does, he is predicted to be the most likely successor to Blatter.
