Mong-joon is a former FIFA Vice-President and has been a ferocious critic of Sepp Blatter, who says he will ‘consider carefully’ before making any decision of running for the elections.

His family are the owner and founder of the Hyundai Heavy Industries who are one of the biggest companies in the world. The 61 year old says that he will be meeting with the European delegates in Seoul before making his decision.

He is one of the main reasons the World Cup came to South Korea in 2002 and is an immensely influential figure in Asia.

If he runs for the Presidential position, he may have a good chance of winning it because of his previous position as the Vice-President and also he can attract the votes from Asia.
