Being called Manchester United’s best signing is something special. Being called the Red Devils best signing by Paul Scholes is even greater. His play making and passing ability has already made Herrera one of Manchester United’s best signings.

Forcing Herrera to activate his buyout clause last season now appears to be worth the effort. At a cost of £29 million, Herrera is poised to join a long line of great United midfielders. Paul Scholes, David Beckham and Ryan Giggs are all examples of who Herrera has the ability to one day become.

While these players are only a handful of new players in the Premier League, they are easily the best new players in the Premier League. If next season can see the same amount of top new players, the Premier League could have its best year in a long time.
