The PFA Player of the Year and Football Writers’ Association Player of the Year is an automatic choice for this award. Hazard has been by far the best player in the League and that too by quite some distance. Chelsea as a team went through ups and downs, but in the team, Hazard was always that focal point who did not let his performance dip even for a single match.

His 13 goals and 8 assists tells only half the story. Along with goals and assists and incredible slick dribbling, he was the one making things happen for his team when the team needed someone to walk that extra mile and take that extra risk. In matches such as QPR and the classic one nil win against Manchester United, it was Hazard who assisted the vital pass and scored the vital goal in the respective matches which gave the Blues the maximum points and pull them towards the title.

He has also developed his game by bringing a defensive element where he tracks back and helps out the team defensively which is quite a big feat and makes him a complete player.

The way he has been stacking all the individual awards this season, he will definitely be the favorite to win this also.
