Mauricio Pochettino leads his Tottenham team for the first time this season, as they head across town to take on London rivals West Ham

WEST HAM UNITED V TOTTENHAM

If there ever was a season where your employment would finally come under make or break pressure, it’s campaign for Sam Allardyce.  Big Sam, one of the most experienced managers in the Premier League, will be tasked this season of restoring a bit of pride to Upton Park.  A mid-table finish last season will never do for the Hammers support, and with the clubs investment this summer, it will be top half or bust.

On the other bench sits Mauricio Pochettino; his magical hands guided Southampton to eight place last season, and his new employers at White Hart Lane will expect big things from the Argentine.  Tottenham, on paper at least, have an excellent first-team, and if Poch can put hi rubber stamp on them as quickly as possible, he may be able to improve on their up and down season last term; what better way to start your first match in charge than a London derby?
