Roberto Martinez and upstart Everton travel to the King Power Stadium and newly promoted Leicester City
LEICESTER CITY V EVERTON
When you’ve just won promotion back into the Premier League, you always hope for that first fixture or two to be on the easier end of the spectrum to help you ease into top level football once again. For Leicester City, welcoming Roberto Martinez and his upstart Everton side could almost not get any worse.
The Toffees come into 2014/2015 on the back of a brilliant league campaign last season that saw them finish 5th, and nearly crack the top four. Though flooding with cash backing, Leicester have done little in the market this summer to make the task of staying up next season any easier.
The Foxes’ will be boosted by recent breaking news that Ross Barkley will be out for 6-8 weeks through injury; perhaps a consolation prize that could help them avoid a real trouncing in front of their home support.
Predicted Starting XI’s
Leicester (4-4-2): Kasper Schmeichel; Jeffrey Schlupp, Wes Morgan, Matthew Upson, Ritchie de Laet; Marc Albrighton, Danny Drinkwater, Andy King, Riyad Mahrez; Leonardo Ulloa, David Nugent
