The Louis van Gaal effect; potential Manchester United XI come August

David De Gea (GK) 

Unquestionably the first-choice keeper at Manchester United, he has a fantastic season last year despite the clubs poor showing.  With Iker Casillas out of the set-up for the Spanish national team, De Gea is the likely replacement there as well.  Still only 23-years old, his standing at the club is hardly under scrutiny.  He does have large shoes to fill however, considering both Peter Schmeichel and Edwin van der Sar have come before him.  Still and yet, he’s a key component of United’ defensive core for the next 8-10 years.
